1. Huawei Y7 Pro (2019) with dual cameras,4000mAh battery launched: Price,specifications and features - Huawei has launched the Huawei Y7 Pro (2019) under its Y-series. The smartphone comes with a price tag of 3,990,000 Vietnamese dongs (approximately Rs 11,990). It is available for purchase in two color variants – Aurora Blue and Black in the country.
The Huawei Y7 Pro (2019) features a 6.26-inch FHD+ display along with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass on top. Under the hood, the handset houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset coupled with Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. The inbuilt storage is further expandable up to 512GB using a microSD card slot. The device runs the old Android 8.1 Oreo topped with EMUI 8.2 layer. The budget smartphone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery under the hood.


2.Google’s Messages app gets Truecaller-like spam protection feature - It may not be as well-known as Gmail, Maps, or YouTube, but Messages, Google’s default app for handling SMS/MMS is an essential part of the (stock) Android experience. It’s simple, lightweight, and supports new messaging protocols like RCS (Rich Communication Services). And with the latest update, it can even protect your smartphone from spam text messages.
According to Android Police, Google has now begun rolling out the new spam protection feature to the Messages app. Since it’s a server-side update and Messages is used by billions of Android users across the world, it may take a while for the new functionality to be enabled for everyone. However, having checked it out on our smartphones, we can confirm that it’s indeed there.


3. Moto G7 likely may come with a waterdrop notch, 3.5mm headphone jack - The rumored Moto G7 is likely to come with a waterdrop notch along with 3.5mm headphone jack, something that is growing to be exclusive in this day and age. The design information was revealed by a case render for the device. This comes right after reports indicated that the company is planning to launch its G7 lineup in February 2019. The launch is expected to take place in Brazil before Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019. However, with two months to go before the expected launch of the device, the leaks about the device have already started surfacing online.
According to a report by AndroidPure, the case renders for the upcoming device confirm some of the design elements of the device. These include the waterdrop notch, dual-camera setup on the back, circular Motorola design with the fingerprint sensor and 3.5mm audio socket. The front of the device will come with a thick chin at the bottom. The report also indicated that the company is going to launch four devices as part of the G7 series in the company year instead of the usual three variants.


4. Microsoft Surface Go now available in India exclusively on Flipkart, priced at Rs 38,599 - Microsoft India has announced the Surface Go availability for the country. It started taking pre-orders of its stylish Windows 10-based computing device, Surface Go, earlier this month on Flipkart. The company has now started shipping the device in India at a starting price of Rs 38,599.
The productive 2-in-1 Microsoft Surface Go was first launched back in July. It is the company’s affordable Windows 10-based tablet which uses Intel processor to power up. Microsoft Surface Go features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, each with 1080p video capture functionality. There’s also Windows Hello-based face authentication, microphone, and stereo speakers by Microsoft.


5. Apple iPhone battery replacement program is ending today in India - Remember the entire controversy when Apple was slowing down your old iPhones because of battery degradation over time? The company clarified that it was doing this to ensure a stable experience on iPhone instead of instability caused by weak batteries. Apple stated that the slow down in performance was because of a power management feature that was known as “Battery Health”, and first shipped to devices with iOS 10. After facing criticism from across the globe, the company launched a battery replacement program for its iPhones at a discounted rate.
The battery program was also available in the Indian market, and was also applicable to devices that were out of warranty. The program initially covered devices including iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and the iPhone SE. The company went on to extend the program to include devices including iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. As part of the program, the company was offering a discount of 30 percent for users getting the batteries replaced for their old devices. The program was initially launched back in December 2017 and it is set to close today on December 31, 2018.
