1. Xiaomi Play launch set for December 24: Waterdrop notch, gradient finish, specifications and everything else we already know - Xiaomi is set to introduce a new smartphone series, called the Play, in China on December 24. The smartphone is believed to be first device in its portfolio aimed at gamers. Ahead of its official launch of Monday, Xiaomi has released multiple teasers, which confirm that Play will be the Chinese smartphone maker’s first device with a waterdrop-style notch. Now, we have more information about the device including some bundled data plans.


2. Huawei P30 tipped to come with triple rear camera and a 24-megapixel front camera - Huawei dethroned Apple to become second largest smartphone brand globally for two straight quarters. The company is said to be on track to reach its target of 200 million smartphone shipments this year. With the success of flagships like the Huawei P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro, the company is said to be working on the P30 series.
Huawei P30 series, which is likely to include the standard P30 and P30 Pro models, is expected to launch at Mobile World Congress in February or at a special event in March. With the P30 series, Huawei is expected to once again focus on camera prowess over everything else. Renowned leaker Evan Blass claims that Huawei P30 will be another imaging powerhouse from the Chinese smartphone maker.


3. Nintendo Switch becomes America's fastest-selling console - Nintendo sold more than 8.7 million units in the U.S. since launching in March 2017.

5. AT&T will be deceiving customers into thinking they have 5G - AT&T has confirmed that it will soon be rolling out an update to smartphones on its network which will change the LTE icon in the status bar to 5G E when the devices connect to network towers which feature
4×4 MIMO, LAA 256 QAM. To be clear, these technologies been classified as advanced 4G LTE network equipment, not 5G. AT&T’s “5G E” indicator will display on smartphones in 400 markets across the US, fooling customers into thinking that their phones are connected to AT&T’s new G network.
